About

Joe grew up with a passion for comics, fantasy novels and classic Sega Genesis video games. This led him to graduate from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design with a BFA in Design/Comic Art.

Joe is always busy drawing and owns Dirty Inks LLC where he specializes in fantasy illustration, comic art, children’s book art, and storyboarding. Joe has self-published several Comic Books and collaborated with many different businesses and independent artists such as Target, Bambi Wendt, Jackalope Tattoo, Philip Kaufman, Renewal Laser Clinic, and Themed Concepts.

In 2011 Joe and his wife were honored as the Artist Guests of Honor at the Sci-Fi and Fantasy convention MarsCon.

Joe currently lives in Minneapolis, MN with his lovely wife Megan. Every wedding anniversary they celebrate by getting tattooed to express their devotion to one another through art.
