Children’s book art

With whimsy and humor, I create children’s book art to entertain adults and children alike.

Joe and I collaborated on a children’s book, Avey the Aviator. From the business side, Joe set the bar in professionalism, hit every deadline, and did a tremendous job of communicating and partnering at every step in the design, development and publishing process. Of course, though, the success of any project rests not on the project management aspects, but the strength of its creative, and that is where Joe absolutely excels.

His vision, bold colors, and imagination brought Avey to life in a way that I never could have on my own. For this particular project, Joe was able to adapt some of his historically used styles into a new and distinctive look that fit the storyline perfectly. The most common reaction to the Avey the Aviator when I have placed it in someone’s hands for the first time and they have flipped through the images: “Wow. That is absolutely beautiful.
